X-Link 2.1 Installation
Connect the module to the 8-way throttle body connector of the engine wiring harness and to the LS2 throttle body. There will be a "click" when the connection is secure. If you don't hear/feel the click, check that the center portion (purple or grey) that covers the pins is fully seated. Be sure to route all wires away from contact with high heat parts such as exhaust manifolds/headers and turbochargers. Utilize the mounting stud to support the unit in order to avoid stressing the connectors and wiring. Mount the unit such that it will not be in direct contact with hot engine components.
You are now ready to go and should see full throttle range.
Adjustments to the vehicle calibration (ETC Throttle Area Conversion Factor) can be made to correct for the size difference between the stock 78mm throttle body and the 90mm LS2 throttle body. This will hasten “idle learning” and reduce the amount of relearn necessary whenever battery power to the PCM is interrupted. You can also accelerate the learning process by performing the GM "Idle Learn Procedure."
The module is pre-configured for the truck-style 90mm throttle body. If you wish to change throttle body styles, this configuration can be altered as described below.
Inside the wire loom, on either side of the module you will find a looped pink wire:
Truck style (e.g. TBSS) 90mm throttle body- Each pink wire should be left in the original looped(uncut) configuration, or soldered together if previously cut.
Car style (e.g. Corvette) 90mm throttle body- The loops should be cut and the ends insulated to prevent contact.
